About Us

The CyberKnife Center Louisiana is a stereotactic robotic radiosurgery center located in Lafayette, Louisiana, offering the revolutionary technology of the CyberKnife® Stereotactic Radiosurgery System. The CyberKnife is an FDA-approved total body radiosurgery device made by Accuray®, Inc., developed to treat various tumors throughout the body with extreme precision by utilizing robotic technology and real-time imaging. To date, over 70,000 patients worldwide have been treated with this system. The CyberKnife Center - Louisiana is the first CyberKnife center in southwest Louisiana, and the second in the state.

The Center was developed in association with Lafayette General Medical Center, the area's premier hospital for cancer treatment. Under the leadership of the center's medical director, Alan J. Appley, M.D., a board certified neurosurgeon, and several board certified radiation oncologists, patients will have access to an experienced multidisciplinary team of specialists throughout the treatment process.
